We've taught thousands of kids & teens with T1D across more than 20 states and four countries how to ski & snowboard.
First timer? There's no better time to start! Nearly all first-time groups are led by PSIA Level I or PSIA Level II instructors who provide a safe, fun learning environment and a memorable introduction to skiing or snowboarding.
Experienced skier or snowboarder? You'll rip turns all day with an advanced group -- honing your skills with one of our seasoned coaches.
When you register for one of our camps, you're signing up for more than a day on the mountain -- you're joining a community of people who get it. They understand what it's like to live with Type 1 diabetes, and they're pushing the limits of the disease in a safe environment, learning that anything is still possible with T1D. Once again in 2022, you can expect:
We have limited our max capacity per camp to reduce congestion and the number of people clustered together during the day. It also allows us to have even smaller on-snow groups and give each camper even more attention and instruction.
Who doesn't love fun mail?! Your camper will receive a custom printed box with your camp shirt, a mystery beanie, wristbands, stickers & much more! WE pride ourselves on having great design on our products each year and we use only above average quality apparel for shirts and hoodies.
Each camp location will have a *LIVE* video orientation sessions on Zoom. One session will focus on the kids/teens, featuring online group activities and a meet-and-greet with their coaches. This will happen typically on Monday or Tuesday of camp week to get everyone stoked for the weekend to come!
Chula Vista Group rate available: Call 1-877-626-5016 and refer to Booking ID #125508 Riding On Insulin to make a reservation! Hotel group rate is $139 per night for a Tower Jr Suite and $159 for a 2 Bedroom Condo.
A typical Riding On Insulin Shred Camp looks like this:
Snail Mail: 2-3 weeks before camp — you'll receive a ROI "shred box" with your camper's shirt, beanie and a ton of other swag included in your registration. If you pre-order sweatpants or hoodies at the time of registration, they'll arrive with your shred box!
Virtual: Sunday or Tuesday evening of camp week — *LIVE* Zoom sessions that replaces the typical Friday night orientation. We will play a few games, have an inspiration speaker, Q & A with a CDE and more!
